Director of land acquisition salary8/31/2023 ![]() ![]() This role ensures all cruise operations inside and outside the terminal run smoothly, including monitoring parking availability, terminal security, and traffic issues. ![]() Serve as the primary dedicated in-person contact to enhance the guest experience by providing solutions and information for each cruise line, cruise vessel agent, guest, and crew, to assist with meeting stated needs during the ship's time in port. Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports. Routine day-to-day operations may include coordinating with cruise lines executives, shore staff, stevedores, shippers, ground transportation companies, parking operations contractors, ship agents, and local, state, and federal authorities on an as-needed basis to respond to customer needs, resolve disputes, and assists with interpreting policies and regulations.Ĭollaborate with the Director of Operations to develop various Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and metrics to demonstrate the performance of the Operations Division Cruise Services Section. Responsible for managing all aspects of cruise operations, including cruise services staff, personal interaction with cruise lines representatives, cruise terminal functionality and cleanliness, parking and shuttles, wayfinding/signage, and dockside provisioning activity in coordination with the Chief Harbormaster and Assistant Director of Operations (Vessel Scheduling and Docks). Responsible for the planning, administration, and direction of the Cruise Services Section, which includes cruise service liaisons, parking coordinator, skilled trade supervisors, and terminal maintenance workers. ![]() Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary. The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Six (6) years of direct experience managing division/section-level budgets Ten (10) years of experience managing contract negotiations Ten (10) years of experience managing a large workforce of over 30 people Preferences Ten (10) years of high-level experience managing cruise terminal/ship operations, ground transportation, cruise passenger customer service Requires six (6) years progressive work in operations management or closely related experience.Ībility to secure and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License at the time of appointment and for the duration of employment.Ībility to secure and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification card (TWIC) within 60 days of employment and for the duration of employment (if required).Ībility to secure and maintain a valid Seaport Business Purpose Credential for the duration of employment. Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, management or closely related field. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements The position reports to the Enterprise Director of Operations. The Enterprise Assistant Director of Operations (Cruise Services) position is directly responsible for the oversight of Port Everglades functions and employees in the Operations Division Cruise Services Section. ![]()
